Exhaust Finishes

At VEREX we offer variety of finishes for your aftermarket exhaust. We want to make sure we match your vision exactly, and you get a great looking product straight out of the box. Read on below to find out more about the finishes we offer.

POLISH FINISH

Our polished exhaust finish is second to none. Hours spent in-front of the polisher refining our skills to give an eye-catching shine to your exhaust.

We first remove any signs from the manufacturing process, and then finish the exhaust in 2 stages. First a heavy cutting compound to bring the system to an even finish. This followed by a high shine polishing compound which buffs, and brings your system to its final mirror finish.

INSTALLATION

When fitting your exhaust ensure the system is clean, any fingerprints or other marks will burn into the finish once heated (these can be removed, see Up-keep below). After your first start our high quality stainless will start to take on a golden colour at the hottest part of the system. This micron thin layer of nickel in the stainless steel reacting with the air, leaving you with a beautiful golden tone.

Polish Finish Up-Keep

Just like your bike, a polished finish will need some care to keep that as-new look. Some extra time with your bike when not on the road will pay off on your next ride. We have some great advice and tips for maintaining your finish – send us a message over at the Contact Page.

Brushed finish

The brushed finish is our standard finish on our aftermarket exhausts.

We cut back any signs from the manufacturing process. We then finish the parts in a 2 stage brush, going from a medium brush and then up to a fine brush finish. We ensure a clean and even brush, matching the contours of the system.

BLACK CERAMIC FINISH – CERAMIC COATINGS TASMANIA

Our Black Ceramic finish is provided by the team at Ceramic Coatings Tasmania. They do an excellent job, providing a great matte black finish using their heat resistant black ceramic coating.

Ceramic Coated Exhaust

installation

When fitting your exhaust ensure the system is clean, any fingerprints or other marks will burn into the finish once heated. Avoid using any heavy solvents when cleaning your black ceramic system. Caution should be taken if dyno tuning with a Black Ceramic system, extreme exhausts temperatures while stationary on the dyno may have adverse affects on the finish. If the system must be run on the dyno maximum airflow should be directly to the exhaust, particularly towards the outlet near the head.

Black Ceramic UPkeep

Like the rest of your bike, you will need to clean your Black Ceramic system to keep it looking like new. Avoid using any heavy solvents or abrasive materials on your ceramic finish. Along with the above guidelines on dyno tuning with your Black Ceramic finish, avoid cleaning the system while its still hot.
