Here at VEREX we are excited to show you our new 2-1 Full System to fit the Royal Enfield Interceptor and Continental GT 650 models. This is a Australian made and designed full system, for a unique look that changes the character of the awesome 650 twin!
Yeah, but what is it?
You ever wake up and think to yourself “Whats better than two small mufflers…? One big muffler!” Well, thats what Paul did when we started thinking of unique exhaust ideas for the parallel twins. The 2-1 retains the same diameter downpipes as on the VEREX Full system at 1-1/2″(38.1mm), which we have found produces the best power on a stock bike without running into any fueling issues. We then collect under the belly of the bike with the beautifully crafted 2-1 collector. We then go up to 2″ (50.8mm) straight through to the muffler .
The system does require the removal of your centre stand (And if that’s a no-go for you, check out our 2-2 Full System!), but some might say that’s just extra weight savings! The system is significantly lighter than our 2-2 Full System weighing in at just 4.25kg. That’s a 12.95kg saving over stock pipes, plus whatever that pesky centre stand weighs!
Signature of the system is a speciality double barrel VEREX muffler, which exits to the right rear of the bike. The 2″ perforated baffle provides plenty of flow and a deep rumble that sounds great around town, but not too loud on the highway. The steel wool and glass fibre packed unit holds a nice note, being fairly calm at idle and sounding like nothing else on the power! Holding everything together are the high quality and Australian made Tridon clamps. The discreet O2 sensor placement is retained at the top of the headers, and the guaranteed perfect fitment people have come to expect from VEREX parts!

Where's the power?
Okay, okay! So what about power?
We took our test bike down to Horizon Motorcycles to put the bike up on their Mainline Dyno to test our different setups. Figures less than you thought? Well, the bottom graph shows what the same run might look like on a DynoJet (which read a bit higher than a Mainline).
And the figures speak for themselves. We preformed these tests on a totally stock bike, just to see what we would get out of it. 44.5hp represents a 15% increase! 34.9ft-lb to 38.4ft-lb is 10% more torque! All while maintaining a safe AFR of around 12.8.
We tried some testing with a Booster Plug, which didn’t really add anything to the graph but we hear good things about it improving the low down rideability and fueling on the 650.
A quick run without an air filter again gained about 1HP, so still a little bit to be made for those with a high flow air-filter. Would love to see what some more intake and ECU work can do for these figures!
